Account Executive - Inside Sales

As a NETbilling Account Executive - Inside Sales, you are a critical part in fulfilling our mission to help business owners make smarter business decisions through our world-class services, award-winning customer service, and transparent pricing.

The Account Executive - Inside Sales is the first point of contact for every merchant, and serves as an expert in the payments industry. As a merchant sales professional, you will have a keen understanding of the industry and excel at the responsibilities listed below.

Responsibilities: 
  • Possess a strong “Hunter’s Mentality” to acquire and grow your customer base and merchant portfolio, sourcing new contacts and opportunities beyond inbound marketing leads.
  • Educate, consult, and navigate business owners (merchants) towards the appropriate NETbilling solutions and product offerings after performing a needs assessment and discovery of their current card acceptance routine.
  • Respond immediately to inbound calls and inquiries regarding NETbilling’s services.
  • Properly maintain contact records and active leads, as well as manage tasks and meetings, utilizing CRM & sales processes.
  • Effectively navigate through the sales cycle from the initial discovery through deal closing.
  • Keep up with industry trends, competitive landscape and specific verticals that can benefit from NETbilling’s marketplace tools and solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Operations and Underwriting teams to ensure that the customer’s journey is positive and productive.
  • Be a brand ambassador in the community through event presence including, but not limited to, Chamber of Commerce, Business events, Networking Associations, and other business referral opportunities.
Qualifications: 
  • 2 years of Consultative Sales experience selling a technical solution with around a 10-45 day sales cycle.
  • Have a well-rounded understanding of the payment processing industry including pricing guidelines, processing statements, payment gateways; as well as industry knowledge in many card processing verticals such as e-commerce, retail, restaurants, B2B, and integrated software.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Collaborative attitude with a focus on “We” and not on “Me” – demonstrating the ability to work closely with various referral sources, networking affiliates, underwriting, technical support, and other departments.
  • Innate curiosity; must be able to ask the right questions to understand the merchant’s business, pain points, existing infrastructure, and needs.
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with aggressive company and individual goals.
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to think strategically and creatively in decision-making.
  • Be coachable and able to take direction and feedback well, yet being forward-thinking to challenge the status quo.
