We are currently looking for experienced and self-motivated sales minded, sales professionals interested in establishing a long term career. This role is an Inside sales role where you will be working full time and in-person from the NETbilling Valencia corporate offices, reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer.

As a NETbilling Sales Business Development Manager, you are a critical part in fulfilling our mission to help business owners make smarter business decisions through our world-class services, award-winning customer service, and transparent pricing.

You are the first point of contact that every merchant will engage with and you must serve as an expert in the payments industry. As a merchant sales professional, you will have a keen understanding of the industry, and be able to perform the requirements of the position listed below.

  • Possess a strong “Hunter’s Mentality” to acquire and grow your customer base and merchant portfolio.
  • Manage a full sales cycle with the ability to provide a product that offers you multiple opportunities to make sales, utilizing a platform that provides a wide array of products and services to meet the many different and changing needs of a customer.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and broad knowledge of merchant services and pricing guidelines, processing statements, our payment gateways; as well as expert industry knowledge in many card processing verticals such as e-commerce, retail, restaurants, B2B and integrated software verticals.
  • Identify and support new client priorities.
  • Strong communication, relationship building skills, and works closely with various referral sources and networking affiliates, underwriting, technical support and other departments to meet your sales goals and maintain your customer base.
  • Your responsibilities as a Business Development Manager will include, but not be limited to; understanding the prospect’s existing business and card acceptance routine, as well as prescribing solutions based on NETbilling’s offerings to achieve customer acquisition and deployment.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives:

  • Educate, consult, and navigate business owners (merchants) towards the appropriate NETbilling solutions and product offerings.
  • Generates leads, cold-calls, and prospects potential clients
  • Conducts in person or virtual meetings via Skype or Zoom ZOOM to determine customer needs, and presenting customized payment and marketing solutions.
  • Performs pricing analysis by assessing clients’ payment processing statement, and initiates proposals accordingly
  • Closes sales in a timely and effective manner
  • Navigates potential lead sources, develops, and maintains new lead sources
  • Strong desire to succeed in a competitive market and self-motivated
  • Solid critical thinking and persuasive communication skills
  • Address competitive threats and resolve merchant concerns.
  • Previous cold-calling/face-to-face sales experience is a PLUS
  • Previous experience in the Merchant Service industry is a PLUS
  • Bilingual skills are a PLUS
  • Building credibility and value in our solution through strategic research and preparation.
  • Respond immediately to inbound calls and inquiries regarding NETbilling’s services.
  • Properly maintain follow up tasks, and stay on top of all your active contacts and opportunities.
  • Effectively navigate through the sales cycle from the initial discovery through deal closing.
  • Source new contacts and opportunities from areas outside of marketing leads.
  • Keep up with industry trends, competitive landscape and specific verticals that can benefit from NETbilling’s marketplace tools and solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Operations and under writing teams to ensure that the customer’s journey is positive and productive.
  • 2 years of Consultative Sales experience selling a technical solution that has a 10-45 day sales cycle.
  • High school diploma, with college degree preferred.
  • Collaborative attitude with a focus on “We” and not on “Me”.
  • Innate curiosity. Must be able to ask the right questions to understand the merchant’s business, pain points, existing infrastructure, and needs.
  • Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and communication skills.
  • Strong interdepartmental relationships. Ability to collaborate within the Sales department, the Underwriting department, and Operations department.
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to think strategically and creatively in decision-making.
  • Be coachable and able to take direction and feedback well, yet being forward-thinking to challenge the status quo.
  • Experience/Desire to contribute to the broader goals of the organization beyond your immediate job description.

  • Competitive Annual Base Salary = $50K + Residual Income, based on experience
